We are looking for set designers and builders, stage hands, lighting and sound technicians, actors as well as costume and make-up artists. The first meeting of the Drama Club will be Wednesday, right after school, 2:30pm, in the Lecture Hal
The first meeting of the Chess Club will be next Tuesday, September 17, after school in the CCC. All students are welcome to drop in any Tuesday afternoon. No previous experience required. Check or checkmate it out!
The GSA/Equality Club is a student-led organization. Their mission is to work towards a more accepting environment for all people, regardless of how you identify, through education, support, social action, and advocacy.” Be a part of today's civil rights movement, join us for the first GSA meeting Tuesday, September 24th at 230 in the graphics shop with Mr. Mulkern and Mrs. Rutkowski.
The Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, from 7-10 PM, Tickets are on sale during lunches and you can get forms to take a non-SST student from Mrs. Mariani in the front office. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
If you are a student who is believes you would make an excellent team captain for a winter sport please reach out to your coach and let them know of your interest. Remember there are meeting and behavorial requirements to be a SST Captain.
Sports Announcements 9/9/19
1. The varsity football team opened up their season with a 26-0 win over Hull. Brian McClain got the scoring started with a 30 yard touchdown run and followed that up with a 4 yard touchdown to put the Vikings up 12-0. Blake Coleman and Joe Parker ran well for the Vikings and they led the Vikings rushing attack as they scored on their next two possessions to put the game away. McClain (two interceptions) Sean McGuirk and Joby Lanza led the defense in a great all around team effort.
2. The varsity soccer team tied to Holbrook on Friday 2-2. Shayne Griffith and Dagim Bahros scored the goals for the Vikings while Bobby Barry was a force on defense. Noah Sinatra had a strong game as the keeper.
3. The varsity volleyball team fell to Holbrook in three straight games on Friday. Audrey Manning played well on defense and went 8 for 8 on the serving line with 3 aces. Elizabeth Enman also went 4 for 4 and had two aces. Brianna Ruffin led the charge on offense with four kills. The loss puts the Vikings at 1-1- on the season. They travel to Abington on Tuesday.
4. The JV1 volleyball team stayed undefeated beating Holbrook 3-0. Elizabeth Enman served 17 straight serves in the second set and was 26 for 26 overall. Also playing and serving well was Gemma Gessler with 8 aces and 3 kills.
5. The golf team travels to take on Blue Hills today at 2:30. 1:10 dismissal.
