9.10.19 Announcements

Today's Lunch is Ham and Cheese Croissant .  All meals served with Milk, Fruit.

There will be a meeting in the cafeteria this afternoon immediately after school for any student interested in joining SST'S SkillsUSA Chapter for the 2019-2020 school year.

School pictures will be taken tomorrow Picture order forms are available on line, please see your email, or from the front office. Students will be able to change out of their shop uniform if need be.

South Shore Driving Academy will be running the classroom portion of driver's ed here at SST from Tuesday, October 8-Monday, November 4th. 2:30pm-5:45pm. Mon, Tues and Thurs's. 
They will not be having class on Columbus Day.  Anyone interested can sign up directly with the South Shore Driving Academy in Hanson.


All student drivers are reminded that due to programming changes at First Baptist Church they will no longer be allowing South Shore students to park in their lot. We expect that you abide by their needs.

Robotics team will be meeting after school on Thursday in room 203, new members are welcome.  If you cannot make it or are interested in learning more about the robotics team and the competitions please speak with Mr Shaw or Mr Gentile

The Drama Club is starting soon, and is looking for new members!
We are looking for set designers and builders, stage hands, lighting and sound technicians, actors as well as costume and make-up artists.  The first meeting of the Drama Club will be Wednesday, right after school, 2:30pm, in the Lecture Hal

The 1st National Honor Society meeting of the year will be held on Thursday in room 207.

The first meeting of the Chess Club will be next Tuesday, September 17, after school in the CCC.  All students are welcome to drop in any Tuesday afternoon. No previous experience required.  Check or checkmate it out!

The first meeting of the yearbook committee will be held on Thursday after school with Mr Culp in the Graphics Shop. All students are welcome.

The GSA/Equality Club is a student-led organization. Their mission is to work towards a more accepting environment for all people, regardless of how you identify, through education, support, social action, and advocacy.”  Be a part of today's civil rights movement, join us for the first GSA meeting Tuesday, September 24th at 230 in the graphics shop with Mr. Mulkern and Mrs. Rutkowski.

The Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, from 7-10 PM, Tickets are on sale during lunches and you can get forms to take a non-SST student from Mrs. Mariani in the front office. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

If you are a student who is believes you would make an excellent team captain for a winter sport please reach out to your coach and let them know of your interest. Remember there are meeting and behavorial requirements to be a SST Captain.

Sports Announcements 9/10/19

1. The golf team narrowly defeated Blue Hills 5 - 4. Logan Desmond sank the putt on the last hole to secure the win. Also winning their matches were Brenden Connolly and Alec Moules. They host Southeastern today at 3:00. 2:00 dismissal. 

2. The cross country team hosts Old Colony today at 3:30 at Forge Pond Park. 

3. The JV1 and JV2 volleyball teams travel to play Abington today at 4:00. 2:45 bus. 

4. The varsity volleyball team travels to play Abington today at 5:15. 4:00 bus.
