In recognition of Homecoming, this week's Fun Friday is SSVT garb. Break out those shirts, sweatshirts and other SSVT clothes and show your school spirit.

Hey freshmen, do you wish to have more of a voice in the school?  Do you have changes around here that you would like to see happen?  Consider running for freshmen representative.  Pick up your running forms from Mr. Fallano in room 205 before and after school.  Completed Forms are due October 7th


The Homecoming Dance is Saturday night at 6 PM. Tickets are available in the cafe at lunches and from Mrs. Mariani in the main office after school. Cost is $10 and if you are bringing an outside guest you need a form signed by their school. This form is due Friday.

SSVT is collecting items for the area's homeless prior to winter. Please donate 
hats, lightly worn coats and clothes, and personal care items such as deodorants, toothbrushes, and toothpaste to the bin in the front lobby.


The first Prom Committee meeting will be held on Thursday, October 6th immediately after school in room 113.  Any junior or senior interested in joining is welcome to attend.


Driver's Ed starts in less than 2 weeks. Please see the South Shore Driving Academy website for details and to sign up. 


The JV football team defeated Old Colony yesterday 12-8.  Nick Podgurski scored both touchdowns for the Vikings and Dom Georgakakis ran the ball well.

Varsity volleyball improved to 6-5 on the season with a 3-1 win over Blue Hills.  Saylor Molineaux served 21-21 with 6 aces and added 7 kills.  Jade Watts, Becca Cooke, and Jenna Grande all had strong serving games as well, while Cassidy Burt played a solid game as libero.  The team will look to make it 2 in a row this afternoon when they travel to Upper Cape at 5.  The varsity and JV1 teams will be dismissed at 1:50 for a 2:00 bus.

The JV1 volleyball team lost a close match to Blue Hills yesterday.  Gianna Cook had a block and 3 kills, while Carly Shawkey, Alexis Burke, and Hayley Brousseau also played well.  The team will play at Upper Cape today at 3:30.

The JV2 team rallied from an 8 point deficit to take the first set, but lost the next 2 sets despite some of their best rallies of the season.  Maddie Dixon’s strong serving keyed the 1st set comeback, Brianna Ruffin played well, and new servers Mackenzie McGraw, Amy Smalley, and Grace Czajak all tallied their first service points.  The team will host Notre Dame Academy today at 3:30.

The golf team will host Old Colony this afternoon at 3 at Rockland Golf Course.  The team will be dismissed at 2:15.  The team will also be sending 5 golfers to the State Vocational Tournament tomorrow morning in Gardner.

The boys and girls cross country teams will host Norfolk Aggie and Bishop Connolly in a tri-meet this afternoon at 3:30.  The boys team will be looking to continue their undefeated season.  Come outside and the support them this afternoon if you are around the building.
