Hey freshmen, do you wish to have more of a voice in the school? Do you have changes around here that you would like to see happen? Consider running for freshmen representative. Pick up your running forms from Mr. Fallano in room 205 before and after school. Completed Forms are due October 7th
The Homecoming Dance is Saturday night at 6 PM. Tickets are available in the cafe at lunches and from Mrs. Mariani in the main office after school. Cost is $10 and if you are bringing an outside guest you need a form signed by their school. This form is due Friday.
SSVT is collecting items for the area's homeless prior to winter. Please donate hats, lightly worn coats and clothes, and personal care items such as deodorants, toothbrushes, and toothpaste to the bin in the front lobby.
The first Prom Committee meeting will be held on Thursday, October 6th immediately after school in room 113. Any junior or senior interested in joining is welcome to attend.

The varsity boys cross country team improved to 8-0 on the season with a sweep of Norfolk Aggie and Bishop Connolly yesterday. Kyle Potts and Ryan Glynn finished 1-2 overall. Matt McAndrew, Alex McPherson, Sean Sidoti, Shane Brady, and Jarrett Seamen all finished in the top 10. Mikaela Drake and Britney Schone ran their best times of the season in the girls race.
Varsity volleyball won their second game in as many days, defeating Upper Cape 3-0. Saylor Molineaux, Cassidy Burt, and Nicole Silva all played well. The team will take on Avon on Friday.
The JV1 volleyball team beat Upper Cape yesterday afternoon. Cyairra Lowe served 12-14 with 5 aces. Rory Sneyd and Alexis Burke also had strong serving games.
The JV2 volleyball team lost to a strong Notre Dame Academy team yesterday, but kept each set tight until the very end. Ace serving by Lexi Adams, Amy Smalley, Maddie Dixon, Mia Quattlebaum, and Brianna Ruffin allowed the girls to stay close. Ryan Mahoney also played well with a kill.
The golf team upset Old Colony yesterday. John Jenkins shot a career best 2 over par and Leo Johnson staged an impressive comeback, winning his final four holes after dropping his first four. Colby Avila and Hayden Potts also won their matches. John Jenkins, Jake Quin, Hayden Potts, Colby Avila, and Leo Johnson are representing the school at the State Vocational Tournament this morning in Gardner. Best of luck to them!
