It's time to let you voice be heard. It's time to pick the faculty member of the month. All students were emailed a link that allows them to choose a deserving staff member to win for October. The winning staff member is recognized by the School Committee on October 19th.
SSVT is collecting items for the area's homeless prior to winter. Please donate hats, lightly worn coats and clothes, and personal care items such as deodorants, toothbrushes, and toothpaste to the bin in the front office.
The Math Team will meet after school on Thursday in rm 116.
This Friday will be wear Orange or Gold in awareness of the fight against childhood cancer.
The first Prom Committee meeting will be held on Thursday, October 6th immediately after school in room 113. Any junior or senior interested in joining is welcome to attend.
Students interested in Driver's Ed through South Shore Driving Academy that is held here at SSVT should visit South Shore Driving Academy's website to sign up. Classes start October 17th and run 3 afternoons a week from 3 to 5 pm.
Homecoming Dance tickets are on sale. You can buy them in lunches or after school from Mrs. Mariani. Cost is $10 per person and if you are bringing a guest from another high school you need to get an out-of-district guest sheet as well
The varsity soccer team beat Bristol Aggie yesterday 10-1. Jeromy Andrade, George Cook, and Harry Gauthier all played exceptional games. The team will travel to Norfolk Aggie tomorrow afternoon.
The JV2 volleyball team will travel to take on Old Colony this afternoon at 3:30. Dismissal at 1:50, bus at 2:00.
The golf team will host Norfolk Aggie this afternoon at 3:00 at Rockland Golf Course. The team will be dismissed at 2:15.
The varsity and JV1 volleyball teams will host Old Colony this afternoon at 3:30 and 5.
The freshmen football team will also host Old Colony this afternoon at 3:30.
A reminder that this Saturday’s varsity football game has been pushed back to a 2:30 kickoff due to it being an SAT day.
