Sports Announcements 10/4/19
1. The golf team avenged an earlier loss to Tri-County with a 5 1/2 - 3 1/2 victory. Brenden Connolly, Alec Moules and Logan Desmond all won their matches while Cole Sheehan tied his match. They travel to play Upper Cape today at 3:00. 1:20 dismissal.
2. The varsity volleyball team lost to Old Colony in 3 close games. Lexi Adams had 4 kills and went 7 for 7 on the serving line with 2 aces. Audrey Manning, Hannah Towle and Amy Smalley also served well.
3. The JV1 volleyball team played well taking 2 out of 3 games from Old Colony. Ayla Ludlow, Delia O'Rourke and Jackie Halpin all played well for the Vikings.
4. McKennzie Jepsen went on a double digit serving run to put the JV2 Volleyball team way ahead in the first game of a home match against Old Colony. Cassie Nigro, Zoey Bradshaw and Aly Traynor also served well and helped the Vikings take the match in 2. Mari Demaggio added 4 assists setting up the attack. They travel to play Southeastern today at 3:30. 2:00 dismissal.
5. The JV Soccer team beat Calvary Chapel 2-1 yesterday. Ryder Nilson scored the two goals for the Vikings. Garrett Morris played well in net having the power house defense of Scott Brodie and Kyle Gordinier in front of him. Madison Sullivan and Liam Toal also played hard for the Vikings.
6. The varsity soccer team travels to play Norfolk Aggie today at 3:30. 1:30 dismissal, 1:40 bus.
7. The varsity football team travels to play Cape Tech tomorrow at 1:00 PM. 10:15 AM bus.
