The girls varsity lacrosse team defeated Upper Cape 10-6. Kaylin Hicks led a great defensive effort with 9 saves. Hannah Nota, Sofia Grasso, Lily Berquist, and Peyton Mathisen each scored two goals. Kayla Nota recorded her first varsity goal. The team plays Old Colony at home today at 3:30.
South Shore Softball beat Upper Cape 7-5. Senior Lexi Mitsiopoulos scored 3 runs and had 2 hits. Senior Rose Earner had a solo home run. Junior Mia Bradshaw went 2 for 4 and had 2 RBIs. Sophomore Hannah Daily improves to 2-0 on the mound and Mia Bradshaw earns the save on the night.
The JV baseball team get the win 15-1 in their first matchup against upper cape tech. Nate Smith pitched a solid game going 6 innings with 8 strikeouts. Great all-around outing for the Vikings.
The visiting Vikings baseball team improved to 3 - 0 on the season with a win over Holbrook by the score of 13 - 2. Pitching well for South Shore was Gabe Scanlon and Jake Starbird. The offense was led by Jake McAleer with 4 hits, double, triple, 5 RBIs, Tommy Jenkins with 2 hits, double, triple, 3 RBIs with Brandon LaFleur, and Tyler Carini with 2 hits apiece.
Jv boys lacrosse lost 5-2 to Upper Cape yesterday. Robert Fenton scored twice for the Vikings.
The varsity boys lacrosse team defeated Upper Cape 11-8. Todd Egan led the team with 4 goals. Eamon Haley and James Hoey each added 2 goals. Playing well in the midfield were DJ DeCoste, Owen Robertson, and Ethan Mayo chipping in a goal each.
There is a track meet at Blue Hills today—1:45 dismissal for a 2:00 pm bus.
South Shore Tech’s FFA Chapter had amazing results at the Massachusetts FFA State Convention that took place this past week in Framingham. Extremely impressive… We appreciate all the hard work and dedication put forth by all students.
