Sports Announcements 11/5/19
1. The soccer team beat Westport High School yesterday 2-1 in the MIAA tournament. This is the first MIAA tournament soccer victory in at least 30 years! Trailing 1-0, Ryder Nilson blasted a 35-yard direct kick into the upper right corner to tie the game. The Vikings then controlled play throughout the second half with Isaiah Pina and Bobby Barry being impossible to get past on defense. Outstanding goalkeeping by Noah Sinatra who shut out Westport during two overtime periods led to a penalty kick situation, where the Vikings prevailed 3-1 in penalty kicks and earned the victory. Sinatra not only stopped three penalty shots as goalie, he scored one of our goals. The team plays in the Quarter Finals on Thursday at Cohasset.
2. There will be a meeting for anyone interested in participating in wrestling this year on Wednesday at 2:00 in the gym.
3. Any student interested in joining the swim and Dive team you must see Mr. Marani in room 206 as soon as possible. There will be a meeting on Nov 8 in the gym at 2 PM. You have to see mr. Marani before this meeting.
