Clubs and Activities:

South Shore Tech's Horticulture Program came in 2nd place in the FFA Hardshape Competition last Thursday. The student's on the A Team were Sophomore's Tyler Healy, Tyller Burns, Logan Desmond and Donald Talbot. Tyller Burns places third individually in the state.  Way to go and congratulations to all!

Tomorrow is the last chance to sign up for the White Water Rafting Trip. Please see Mr. Carll in rm 309 to do so.

Seniors should check their school email about their end of year t-shirt request.

Sports Announcements 4/30/19

1. The varsity baseball team improved their record to 6-2 with a league win over Bristol Aggie. Earning the victory on the mound was Logan Desmond who had a 1 hit, 8 strikeout performance through 4 innings. Leading the 15 hit attack was Gavan Scanlon who had a mammoth grand slam over the left center field fence in the second inning. Also contributing were Colby Avila and Brian McClain with 3 hits apiece.

2. The varsity boy's lacrosse team lost to Bristol-Plymouth 10-5. Kyle Shiner played well for the Vikings. 

3. The varsity girl's lacrosse team beat Bristol-Plymouth 17-5.  Nine different players scored for the Vikings.  Lexi Adams played well in the midfield with 7 draw controls.  

4. The track team is traveling to participate in a meet at Southeastern today at 3:30. 1:50 dismissal.

Sports Announcements 4/29/19

1. The softball team lost to Upper Cape 14-9 on Thursday. McKenzie Jepsen went 3-4 with a 3-run homerun, triple and a single with 4 RBI's. Liz Trull also had 3 hits for the Vikings. Grace McCarthy had 4 strikeouts on the mound and Aly Pike closed out the game on the mound with 2 strikeouts. They host Bristol Aggie today at 3:30. 

2. The varsity boy's lacrosse team lost to Upper Cape 10-8. Kyle Shiner led the team with 3 goals and Harry Moore added 2 goals. They host Bristol-Plymouth today at 3:30. 

3. The JV boy's lacrosse team defeated Upper Cape 8-7. Brady Cook and Chris Ritter led the team with 3 goals each. Evan Beery scored a key goal off the faceoff. Preston Channell and Colin Coleman played well defensively. 

4. The varsity girl's lacrosse team travels to play Bristol-Plymouth today at 3:30. 1:40 dismissal, 1:50 bus.

In the year 2017 -  “There are two simple ways to celebrate Earth Day to make the world a little better," said Nathaniel Weston, an associate professor of environmental science at Villanova University. "The first is to promote understanding of important environmental issues so that more people are aware of the critical actions we need to take to protect our environment. The second is to commit yourself to service on or around Earth Day — plant some trees, clean up a stream or help your local community garden."

Sports Announcements 4/24/19

1. The varsity softball team defeated South Shore Christian Academy in a back and forth game 8-7 yesterday. Brianna Ruffin was walked in the bottom of the 7th inning to give the Vikings the win. Grace McCarthy played great on the mound with 7 strikeouts while also going 3 for 4 at the plate. Liz Trull also went 3 for 4 at the plate. Sarina Moran, McKennzie Jepsen, Brianna Ruffin, and Liz Enman each added a hit. 

2. The girls varsity lacrosse team defeated Upper Cape 18-4.  Hannah Towle and Emily Donovan led the Vikings in scoring.  Jackie Halpin played well in the midfield and Rory Sneyd had 5 saves in her first appearance in net.  They travel to play Sacred Heart today at 3:30. 2:05 dismissal, 2:15 bus.

1. The varsity boy's lacrosse team lost to Southeastern 8-4 to fall to 3-3 on the season. Josh Carignan 
played well for the Vikings. They travel to play Middleboro today at 3:30. 1:50 dismissal, 2:00 bus. 

2. The JV boy's lacrosse team defeated Southeastern 7-0. Shayne Griffith (3 goals), Richie DiMaggio
(2 goals), Jack White (1 goal), and Peter Shaughnessy (1 goal) led the attack for the Vikings. 
Brendan Naughton and Alec Moules each played a half in net in the shutout. 

3. The varsity baseball team travels to play South Shore Christian tonight at 5:45 on Libby Field in 
Weymouth. 4:15 bus. 

4. The JV baseball team hosts Tri-County today at 3:30.

1. The varsity baseball team used 15 hits to defeat Norfolk County 16-4. Leading the hitting attack was Colby Avila and Reese Knudsen with multiple hits apiece. Pitching a complete game and earning the victory with 10 strikeouts was Devlin Donovan.

1. The varsity boy's lacrosse team defeated Blue Hills 11-10 to improve to 3-2 on the season. Spencer Joseph and Kyle Shiner led the Vikings in scoring. Joby Lanza played well in net. 

2. The JV boy's lacrosse team defeated Blue Hills 6-2. Matt Peterson led the team with 2 goals. Brady Cook, Shayne Griffith, Lucas Evans, and Marcus Bouzan each added a goal. Brendan Naughton played a great game in net.

2. The softball team lost to Bristol Aggie Friday afternoon.  McKenzie Jepsen had a triple. Sarah Teuten scored while pinch running for Grace McCarthy. They host South Shore Christian Academy today at 3:45. 

3. The varsity boy's lacrosse team lost to Bristol-Plymouth on Friday. Josh Carignan played well for the Vikings. They travel to play Blue Hills today at 3:30. 1:50 dismissal, 2:00 bus.

1. The Lady Viking softball team lost to the Old Colony Cougars. Grace McCarthy had a solid start on the mound with 4 strikeouts. Mackenzie Jepsen And Brianna Ruffin each went two for three at bat. 

2. The varsity girl's lacrosse team lost to Old Colony 11-8. Hannah Towle had 5 goals and Jade Watts controlled the draw in the second half. 

3. The varsity baseball team lost to Old Colony yesterday 6-4. Playing well for the Vikings was Sean McGuirk and Devlin Donovan.


4. The varsity boy's lacrosse team defeated Old Colony 19-10. Spencer Joseph and Josh Carignan led the team with 4 goals each. Kyle Shiner and Harry Moore both added 3 goals. Blake Coleman and Tony Hall helped control the face-off in the second half.

The JV boys lacrosse team opens up their season at Tri-County following the varsity game. 1:40 dismissal, 1:50 bus

2. The varsity girls lacrosse team lost to Middleboro 11-6. Jackie Halpin scored two goals and Taylor Goodrow played well in net. They host Quincy today at 4:00.

3. The varsity baseball team hosts Holbrook today at 3:00 at Sylvester Field to open up their season.
