Thank you to all who came out to support the Horticulture and Landscape Construction program this past Saturday at the 2nd annual FFA Spring Plant Sale. Overall the program grossed over $12,500 in sales. A special thank you to our student volunteers Logan Perrault, Brayden Taylor, Ryan Holmes, Mike Sorrentino, Jackson Ahr, Paul Anderson, Lucas Winn, Layne Morrisey, Kevin Maroney, Chris White, and Jake Dolan. We still have plants available to anyone who is interested and we will be selling this week during Brass Lantern hours.
Clubs & Sports:
A reminder that student council running forms are in room 205 and can be obtained before and after school. Forms are due May 24th, see the email from Mr. Fallano for details.
South Shore Varsity baseball improved to 14 -2 with a walk-off win in the bottom of the 7th, after Hull tied the game up in the top half of the 7th. After a Jake Starbird lead-off single, Tyler Carini placed a perfectly executed bunt to plate Mark McPherson for the winning run. Playing stellar defense multiple times were Jake McAleer and Gavan McVarish. Earning the win for the Vikings was Tyrin McDonald.
South Shore Softball lost to Bristol Aggie 12-0. Senior Zoey Bradshaw and sophomore Tiana MacDonald went 2-3
Bom dia alunos. Fantastic job to the SST Track and Field team in their final meet against Holbrook and Southeastern. Please join me in congratulating the following athletes for their events accomplishments:
For the girls against Holbrook: Abby Cary placed 1st in shot put and Sabrina Quinn placed 3rd
Captain Mari Demaggio placed 2nd in the long jump
Jada Falco in the Adidas kicks placed 1st in the 800m
For the boys against Southeastern: Zack Cuddy got 1st in the 800 at 2 min 16 sec making that a personal record and 2nd in the 1 mile
Conner Norton got 2nd in the long jump, 2nd in the 200m, and 3rd in the 100m
Griffin Corrick turned 17 and placed 2nd in the 2-mile against both teams
Rakeem McCarthy got 3rd in the triple jump at 37' 1 3/4"
Ryan Cheney placed 3rd in the 2 mile
Lucas Santos landed 3rd in the 400 hurdles
And for boys against Holbrook: In shot put we have Jake Wheeling in 1st, Henry Servaes turning 15 and placing 2nd followed by Leo Tenore
Zack Cuddy took 2nd in Javain, 1st in 800, 2nd in the 1 mile
Discus Leo Tenor got 2nd and Lucas Santos 3rd
In the Long jump Connor Norton got 1st, Rakeem McCarthy 2nd and Adailson Andrade 3rd
in the triple jump Rakeem McCarthy, Adailson Andrade and Andy Morrisey placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively
Lucas Santos placed 1st in 400 hurdles and 1st in high hurdles
Conner Norton nabbed 1st in the 100 and 200 and Adailson Andrade got 2nd in the 100
Ekow Edmund got 1st in the 400 followed by Griffin Corrick then Cody Klein
Andy Morrisey got 2nd in the 800
Layne Morrisey ended with 3rd in the 200
Big thank you to Evie Miele e Obrigado Gabi DeAlmeida for helping Mrs. R. work the long jump and Lucas Chase for raking the pit
