This a reminder that all students who park behind the science wing must move their vehicles prior to going to games or practice this afternoon, even away games. The buses will be parked there after school for the vacation week. You will be blocked in.
Congratulations to Joe Ercolin, who last night was celebrated in a ceremony at Mechanics Hall in Worcester as South Shore’s Vocational Student of the Year.
JUNIORS and SENIORS, TODAY is the LAST day to buy Prom Tickets. Sales end at 2:25 pm. Details on signing up for seating are in an email sent to you.
Students deserve to feel safe, seen, and supported at school. If you want to help make sure this is true for all students at SST, please join an informational meeting during Period 9 on Friday, April 14th in the lecture hall. This meeting is for students, but interested staff will have an opportunity to get involved after the break. If you have any questions or want to meet individually, connect with Mrs. Rutkowski in Graphics or Mr. Scopelleti in Room 317.
Clubs & Sports:
The girls’ varsity lacrosse team defeated Tri-County 8-4. Peyton Mathisen scored 3 goals and Sophie Bovill had 5 draw controls. A very strong defensive effort was led by Abby Pattison, Lianna Newell, Eunice Guidel Winter, and Andrea Fernandes. Kaylin Hicks played great in the net with 9 saves.
Friday, April 14 is the LGBTQ Day of Silence. This day is a national student-led demonstration where LGBTQ students and allies all around the country—and the world—take a vow of silence to protest the harmful effects of harassment and discrimination of LGBTQ people in schools. Any student wishing to participate in this day should notify their teachers prior to class or shop AND pick up a card in graphics.
Today is…
National Gardening Day, it is a day created to give gardeners a shove and a shovel so that they can begin their gardens. What better way to spend the vacation than setting up and planting yourself a nice little veggie garden?
