From the desk of Mr. Aubrey:
I have been covering a large number of classes over the past week and a half and I am frustrated with the number of students who are coming into school with uncharged Chromebooks. Students should bring their Chromebooks to school fully charged every day they need them including when they have guidance classes. Students who bring uncharged Chromebooks into their classes are unprepared to learn. I believe this is the same as not bringing a textbook or pen to class. A teacher has the right to assign detention hours for being unprepared for class.
Clubs & Sports:
There will be a meeting during 9th period on Thursday for members of SADD in rm 122.
There will be a Club Fair for all 9s and 11s at the end of the day on Friday.
The golf team won its final match of the season beating Norfolk Aggie 6 to 3. Owen Aldoupolis, Brady McCarthy, Patrick McGuirk, and Andrew Bolduc all won their matches. Owen, Brady, Patrick, and Robert Malinowski will compete Thursday in the Mayflower Conference tournament.
The varsity volleyball team lost a close match to Cape Tech 3-2 Wednesday night. The Vikings are now 11-2 this season. Zoey Bradshaw served 15/15 and Mia Bradshaw served 15/17. Kylie Smith also went on a 7 point serving run to clinch the third set. Alli Traynor and Gemma Geisler had 30 digs apiece.
The JV2 Girls Volleyball Team lost in 2 to Cape Cod Tech. The Vikings set it up multiple times behind the passing of Leo Terone & Chloe Mason and hit from Kara Mitchell, Ana DeAbreu, Victoria Pattison & Fenway Valiente. But Cape Cod Tech's consistent serving beat the Vikings in the end. The Freshman Vikings play away at Bristol Aggie at 3:30 pm on Friday.
Today is…
Today is National Skeptics Day! Frankly, I don't believe it.
