Congratulations all around to the South Shore Tech Chapter as they competed and put in a solid performance at the Massachusetts FFA State Convention last week. All instructors are extremely proud of the hard work, dedication, and compassion put forth this year from this group and all who competed. Awards are as follows,


Individual demonstration on hardscape: Travis Morley- 1st place overall


Team demonstration on arboriculture:

Tyler Carini and Ryan McCosker- 1st place overall


Team demonstration on irrigation:

Lucas Salvucci and Chris White- 2nd place overall 


Nursery and Landscape A team: 

Gavin Macvarish, Caleb Hawkins, Todd Egan, and Jacob Dolan- 2nd place overall 


Turf Management A team:

Gyslaine Driscoll, Gavin Macvarish, Alexus Mitsiopoulos, and Caleb Hawkins- 1st place overall


Gavin Macvarish- 3rd place overall individually in Turf Management


Floriculture A team:

Gyslaine Driscoll, Taylor Walker, Isabella Perciavalle, and Alexus Mitsiopoulos- 1st place overall 


Alexus Mitsiopoulos- 2nd place overall individually in floriculture and Gyslaine Driscoll- 3rd place overall individually in floriculture


The floriculture A team is the first-ever South Shore Tech team to secure a ticket to the FFA National Competition in Indianapolis! 


Please be sure to congratulate all these students for a job well done.


Clubs & Sports:

All students are reminded that they need to move their vehicles from behind the science wing before heading off to practice. School buses will be parking there after school. Thank you
