There will be a meeting of all 9th graders during 9th period today. Students will be called down at the appropriate time.
The 4 PM bus will be the last bus going home this week. There will be no late buses on Friday.
Thursday is Hawaiian Day at South Shore to match the theme of our SkillsUSA pep-rally.
Friday is Black and White Day to match the students heading off to the SkillsUSA Competition at Greater New Bedford.
Tickets to SST’s Neon Sadie Hawkins Dance go on sale this week at lunches for $15. The dance will be on March 15 from 7-10
Athletic Announcements
1. The girls basketball team defeated Norfolk Aggie in the first round of the State Vocational Tournament this past week 55-49 in overtime. Maddie Dixon (5 steals,4 rebounds, and 12 points) got things going the Vikings hitting her first three 3-point attempts. Rory Sneyd (13 points and 10 rebounds) took over late with timely baskets and rebounds to put the game into overtime. Brianna Ruffin (7 points and 9 rebounds) helped lead the Vikings in overtime. Jade Watts also played well with 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals. They eventually would fall to Blue Hills in the Championship. They have earned a (6) seed and will host (11) seed Monomoy on Tuesday at 6:30 PM in the D4 South State Tournament. PLEASE WEAR GREEN AND SUPPORT OUR GIRLS!
2. The boys basketball team has earned a (9) seed and will travel to play (8) seed Abington on Wednesday at 7:15 PM in the first round of the D4 South State Tournament.
3. Congratulations to Jeremy Driscoll who placed in the State Tournament before moving on and eventually falling in All-States.
