ATHLETICS
The boys varsity lacrosse team withstood a late rally by Upper Cape to pick up a big 10-9 win in league play yesterday. Bryan Johnston led the team with 4 goals and Brendan Hussey added a goal and 3 assists. Kyle Potts played well on defense. The team will travel to Sacred Heart for another big game on Wednesday. The team will practice at 3:00 today.
The boys JV lacrosse team defeated Upper Cape 3-2 yesterday afternoon. Joby Lanza played a great game in net, holding Upper Cape scoreless through 3 quarters. The lead was preserved by strong team defense. Kyle Stec had the winning goal. The team will practice at 2:30 today.
The softball team lost to Upper Cape yesterday afternoon. Taylor McKinnon led the offense with a home run and Nicole Silva added a hit.
The baseball team lost to 1st place Upper Cape yesterday afternoon. Sean McGuirk had a 2 hit game and Jake Cormier also played well.
Tomorrow’s girls lacrosse game has been moved to Southeastern and will start at 4 o’clock. The team will practice from 3:30-5:30 this afternoon.
