Student Council is running its annual food drive so make sure to bring in any non-perishable food items and add them to the food drive donation box in the cafeteria. Last year we were able to donate over 300 food items and raised over $200. Let’s see what we can do this year!
Attention SSVT students: Now is the time to get your flu shot! You can receive your flu shot right in school during school hours. Stop by the nurses office to get your permission form or log on the SSVT website in the nurses blog section to download a form.
The varsity volleyball season closed out their season on Senior Night with a 3-0 win over South Shore Christian. All the seniors played well with Mairiah Leines contributing 5 kills, Saylor Molineaux, Sam Joyce, and Kelli Laubach continuing their strong serving, and Dakota Bagley and Cassidy Burt playing solid defensively. The team finishes the regular season with a record of 12-8. They will now await word on seedings for both the vocational tournament and the MIAA tournament.
The freshmen football team improved to 5-1 on the season with a 30-0 win over Holbrook/Avon yesterday afternoon. Sean McGuirk, Sean Lovell, and Kyle Stec had strong games on both sides of the ball, Izaiah Hyland had an interception on defense, and Vinny Liquori had a touchdown on his first carry of the season.
The varsity soccer team will close out the regular season and celebrate Senior Day when they host Southeastern this afternoon at 3:30. The team has clinched an MIAA tournament berth and will await word on seeding over the weekend.
Best of luck to all of our cross country runners as they compete in the Mayflower League Championships tomorrow at the Wrentham Development Center. The day begins with the boys race at 1, followed by the girls race and JV race. Our boys team will look to follow up on their regular season league championship with another strong performance.

A reminder to all students: From now until spring sports are over, there will be NO using the gym to exit school, to go to the parking lots, or to go to the trainer’s room. All athletes that are playing a sport may enter through their respective locker room doors. If you need to see the trainer you should enter the gym though your locker room as well. There will be no through traffic through the gym doors. Thank you.
