Attention all students: Student Handbook sign-off sheets are now overdue. Detention hours will be handed out for not returning your slip start today. Please return them to the main office immediately. If you need a new one see the main office.
Students also need to return the demographic sheet to Guidance ASAP, even if nothing has changed.
Students interested in Driver's Ed through South Shore Driving Academy that is held here at SSVT should visit South Shore Driving Academy's website to sign up. Classes start October 17th and run 3 afternoons a week from 3 to 5 pm.
Homecoming Dance tickets are on sale. You can buy them in lunches or after school from Mrs. Mariani. Cost is $10 per person and if you are bringing a guest from another high school you need to get an out-of-district guest sheet as well
The varsity volleyball team took the opening set from Holbrook on Friday but ultimately fell 3-1. Jade Watts led the team, serving 16-19 with 5 aces and adding10 kills. The team will travel to Norfolk Aggie tomorrow.
The JV1 volleyball team won their match against Holbrook on Friday. Gianna Cook led the team with 4 kills and Cyairra Lowe and Carly Shawkey combined for 9 aces.
The varsity soccer team raced out to a 3-0 lead in the first half against Upper Cape and held on in the second half for a 3-2 win. Jeromy Andrade scored 2 goals and George Cook added the third, all on well executed breakaways. The team will host Bristol Aggie on Wednesday.
Sean Cormican’s 49 yard touchdown reception from Chris Campbell with 26 seconds left forced overtime, but the Vikings fell to Sacred Heart 22-14. Sean also added a 20 yard touchdown run and a 2 point conversion. Ben Shearing led the defense with 5 tackles and an interception.
The JV football team will travel to take on Diman this afternoon at 3:30. Dismissal at 1:30, bus at 1:40.
