The volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season yesterday against Rockland. After a slow start the in the first set, the girls played 2 very competitive sets, led by the serving of Kelli Laubach and Saylor Molineaux, as well as strong play from Jade Watts and Dakota Bagley. The team will return to league play tomorrow against Bristol Aggie.
The JV1 volleyball team lost a close match to Rockland yesterday. Adriana Reis led the team with 13 serves and 2 aces, while Carly Shawkey, Cyairra Lowe, and Alexis Burke combined for another 14 service points. Gianna Cook added 4 kills.
The JV2 volleyball team had a tough first set, but rallied to win the second, and fought hard before losing by 2 in the 3rd set. The strong serving of Maddie Dixon, Lexi Adams, and Brianna Ruffin were key to the girls getting back into the match. The team will be at home tomorrow against Marshfield.
The boys cross country team improved to 3-0 with a big win over Old Colony yesterday afternoon. Ryan Glynn remains undefeated on the year after finishing first overall. Kyle Potts, Matt McAndrew, and Chandler McQueeney rounded out the Vikings’ sweep of the top 4 spots. Mikaela Drake and Britney Schone ran great races for the girls.
The golf team will travel to take on Old Colony this afternoon at 3:30 at Acushnet River Golf Course. Dismissal at 1:05, mini-bus at 1:15.
