Today is day 1
Period 9 directed studies schedule:
Day 1 and 4 = periods 1-2
Day 2 and 5 = periods 5-6
Day 3 and 6 = periods 7-8
Congratulations to Connor Ashburn and Matt Montgomery for placing first in the state for the AAA Ford Competition. They will be moving on to Nationals in Deerborn, Michigan on June 9th-12th.
Christina Brennan received a recognition award in Junior Women Leaders in STEM from Mass Maritime Academy. This award is given to highlight female success as a leader in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. In addition, she was awarded a full scholarship to Maritime's summer program Sea, Science and leadership taking place in August.
Congratulations Christina!
TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK:
Do you have a teacher that makes your day better and brighter? show them you appreciate them by filling out a teacher appreciation card available at lunch this week. cards will be given distributed to those teachers later this week.
Students are reminded that if you are attending prom on Friday night, you MUST be in school, on time, on that day. There will be early dismissal at 11:00 for all students.
PARENT'S ASSOCIATION:
Walk-a-thon - South Shore will be holding a walk-a-thon here at the school on Friday, May 10th, from 8 to 11 am. Students and staff will walk in honor of the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings. Donation sheets will be available in the next day or two and all money collected should be turned into Mrs. Mariani in the Main Office. All monies collected will go to the Boston First Responders Fund to help marathon victims.
OUTDOOR ADVENTURE CLUB:
There are 4 spots remaining for this years white water rafting trip. Don't miss out on a great weekend. See Mrs. Thibodeau in room 124 ASAP if you would like to to go.

SSVT Parents Association will be having one of their final meeting for the 2012-2013 school year on June 12, 2013. Voting will be conducted at the this meeting.

The Varsity baseball team won yesterday over Bristol Aggie by the score of 18 - 2. Leading the way was Matt Adams, who , out of a possible 18 outs, had 12 strikeouts. He also contributed with 2 hits.

Other top performers included Matt Donnellan with 3 hits and Ben Joyce, Devan Nickerson, and Matt Tompkins with each having 2 hits apiece. Sophmore Damon Krause and Freshman Jaymes Fortune also pitched in with their first varsity base hit. The team plays next on Monday at home against Old Colony.

Biology MCAS Tutoring will be after school Tuesday in room 205 and Thursday in room 201. All Students taking the 10th Grade Biology MCAS are invited to attend.
